This copy has been carefully upcycled into a hollow book safe, turning a much-loved classic into a discreet place to keep small valuables or keepsakes close by. On the shelf, it looks like a charming book, complete with its illustrated cover and spine, but inside there's a hollowed compartment designed to keep something safely tucked away.
At the base of the compartment is an original page from the book, a small detail that keeps a connection to the story and adds to its character. Each piece is carefully hollowed in my Inner West Sydney studio, giving this classic a practical new purpose while preserving its charm.

Because each book is upcycled, small signs of its previous life can sometimes remain, which only adds to the character.
