This large vintage copy of The Wonder Book of Ships has been carefully upcycled into a hidden book safe, giving it a new purpose while keeping the character that makes old books so special. Its beautifully illustrated cover gives it plenty of presence on a bookshelf, while inside the pages have been transformed into a hidden compartment for jewellery, keepsakes, letters or other treasures.
The original endpapers have been preserved, and an illustration from the book sits inside the hollowed out comparment.
This is a vintage book and shows its age, with signs of wear and use throughout. That's part of its appeal: you're not buying something made to look old, you're buying a genuine old book that has been given a second life.
