Upcycled into a hollow book safe, it offers a practical and discreet place to store small valuables or keepsakes in plain sight - perfect for a kitchen shelf or dining room where it blends in naturally. From the outside it looks like a large, familiar cookbook, but inside there's a generous hidden compartment designed to keep things tucked safely away.
The size makes it especially useful, with plenty of room inside, and the base of the compartment features an original page from the book, keeping a connection to its retro roots. Each piece is carefully hollowed in my Inner West Sydney studio, giving it a new purpose while preserving its character.

This is a real book that has been carefully hollowed out, not a decorative box made to look like one. The pages are sealed, so the book keeps its shape while creating a practical hidden compartment inside.
Because each book is upcycled, small signs of its previous life can sometimes remain, which only adds to the character.
All book safes are individually handmade by me, never dropshipped. Each one is checked before it leaves the studio.
